Mt. Lebanon, PA - Matt Smith, Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania State Representative in the 42nd District is proud to announce that his first television spot for the November 7th general election will be launched today. The televised advertisement, which is entitled " Problem Solver," will air on cable channels across the area and highlights Matt's experience in volunteer bipartisan public service. Matt is very pleased that County Executive Dan Onorato agreed to join him in his introductory television spot and specifically discuss his service on Mr. Onorato's Transition Team. Mr. Onorato is a vocal supporter of Matt's effort to bring reform to Harrisburg and believes that Matt will be a strong advocate for the residents of the 42nd District.
Matt is very pleased that he was able to make such a significant statement at this stage in the race and he credits his volunteers who helped with his grassroots fundraising effort. "I have personally been door knocking for the better part of six months and I have been overwhelmed by the support from Democrats and Republicans alike who join me in demanding a more accountable and efficient State Legislature. The fact that we are on the air so early demonstrates the strength of the grassroots movement supporting us."
The script of "Problem Solver":
"Hi I'm Dan Onorato. When I appointed my transition team, I needed a problem solver… and Matt Smith really delivered. He was thoughtful…and independent. I really respect how he tunes out partisan politics and cuts to the chase to find common-sense solutions. Matt and his wife Eileen have a home in Mt. Lebanon. He practices law and serves on the Allegheny County Personnel Board. He'd make a great State Representative who could work with me to reduce property taxes. Matt Smith would bring accountability and common sense to Harrisburg."
